Medical Student Education on Buprenorphine Framework
Overview
This month we focused on synergy with other teams and continuing the summative evalution.
Progress During November 2008
Milestone 1
Integrated medical school project team members to create more synergy.
- Standardized patient chats. AlcoholMS team members participated in simulated patient chats as moderator and gave feedback.
Milestone 2
Recruit a medical school to use the BupMS curriculum
- Mass Emailing. We identified appropriate individuals at various medical schools throughout the US and contacted them via email about the curriculum. So far, four schools have shown interest.
- Demo the website. A power point demo of the website was created. Staff members brainstormed about possible content for new website.
Work to be Performed in the Next Reporting Period, December 2008
Milestone 1
Work with Alcohol medical student team to recruit for both projects
- Share contacts and techniques with alcoholMS team
- Follow-up with interested schools and introduce them to the alcohol treatment curriculum
Milestone 2
Coordinate with other projects on how to conduct the SP chats
- Begin drupal page- "Guide to doing SP chats at CTI"
- Answer questions, develop reports as needed
