Medical Student Education on Buprenorphine Framework
Overview
This month we recruited new students for our summative evaluation and advised the alcohol team on how to best proceed with evaluations.
Progress During September 2009
Milestone 1
Worked with the AlcoholMS to perform usability on the Standardized Patient experience.
- Usability Script A script was refined to focus on the unique aspects of the Medstudentlearning site and the SP experience.
- Recruitment Subjects for usability were recruited from the pool of participants from the MS Bup summative evaluation.
- Usability Sessions Trial usability sessions were run internally and the script and process were updated appropriately. Four students have participated in usability sessions this month. The website has undergone changes throughout the process.
Milestone 2
Continue to share the success of the Summative evaluation
- Preliminary results were gathered for Round 3 of the summative evaluation for use in the Final Report.
Work to be Performed in the Next Reporting Period, October 2009

Continue to share the success of the Summative evaluation
- Finish recruitment and chat sessions. Finalize all results of the summative evaluation for use in the final report.
Milestone 2
Start developing feedback packet to send to participants
- Collect aggregate data and let participants know average improvement and individual improvement in clinical skill, knowledge and interpersonal skills.
