After Completion of Patient Information
- Instructions on how to interview patient, order tests, use the telephone, write prescriptions, use the computer (for prescription monitoring, use forms) are provided
- The learner types in as rectangular box at the bottom of the screen. As in most online chats, the past conversation is visible above the current conversation.
- Laboratory tests can also be ordered throughout this time by clicking on a button clearly marked "order labs"
- A drop down menu of "forms" is available for use and includes screening forms
- The computer image permits them to look up prescription monitoring information
- Prescriptions can be written at any time by clicking on the image of a prescription pad
- This is also the place to include any specific directions we want. For example, for medical students, we might want them to give a list of at least 5 items for the differential diagnosis, and then a workup/management for each one, etc.
