Buprenorphine Practice Advisor: Progress

General - Descriptions of all sections of the site have been written and links to all sections have been set up and are working. Some functionality still needs to be finished or improved (resource search tool, RSS feeds, etc. - see below)
Calendar - Completed, with buprenorphine-related events added for all of 2008.
RSS Feeds - Two feeds have been selected and the RSS reader is functional, but a caching mechanism still needs to be implemented
Chat - Completed. A Google chat tool to allow users to contact Clinical Tools has been added
What is Buprenorphine? - Completed. A short description of buprenorphine and DATA 2000 was prepared to give site visitors a brief introduction
Create an Account - The register/create an account function still needs to be implemented

General - The search tool is found on the home page, but there will also be a separate search page with its own tab. These tools will provide two different mechanisms to search our site content and our database of external resources:
1. Search by topic - this still needs to be developed
2. Search by keyword - this still needs to be developed

General - The basic design and organization of the guides has been completed, and the final formatting is being worked on now.
Progress on individual How To guides - The 10 guides are listed below. Content is completed for all guides except for #9 - Understand Insurance and Billing Issues, which is still in progress.

Search for a Treatment Provider , 3 parts:
1. Zip Code + radius search - Functional, but is being refined so that it automatically expands the search area when no results are returned
2. City/State search - Functional, but being refined in same way as zip code search
3. Physician Name search - Functional, but being updated so that the search can be restricted to one state
Customized Practice Webpage - Still needs to be developed. This feature will allow prescribing physicians to display their practice information on a webpage that they can use for marketing and communicating with patients.

CME - Completed. Provides descriptions and links of courses at BuprenorphineCME.com
Clinical Case Studies - Completed. Links to clinical case studies on BuprenorphineCME.com
Bup Training links - Completed. Links to SAMHSA's site and BupCME
Staff Training Materials - Completed. Pages of useful resources and courses for clinical and administrative staff members

Browse by topic - Pages listing resources (websites, forms, handouts, etc.) grouped by topic have been set up. The pages still need to be updated to use the new functionality for pulling information out of the website database.
Top 10 websites - Needs to be updated to use website database functionality.
Commonly Used Forms - Page lists 27 of common forms (from Clinical Tools and external sources), grouped by category. Needs to be updated to use website database functionality.
State Based Resources - Completed. Information about state agencies/resources have been provided for all 50 states
Patient Handouts - Page lists 20 useful patient handouts (from both Clinical Tools and external sources). Needs to be updated to use website database functionality.
